Paul Murton explores the stunning landscapes of Wester Ross, filled with lochs and mountains. Engaging with locals, he learns that the communities along the loch were only connected by road in the 1970s, relying on boats for transportation before then, living an almost island-like existence. He takes a bike ride over the notorious Bealach na Ba, one of Britain’s highest and steepest mountain passes. Paul also revisits the historic Kishorn oil rig fabrication yard, known for constructing the world’s largest movable structure in the 1970s. His adventure concludes on an island in Loch Carron, which has a fascinating link to Peter Pan.
