The Amazing Race (2001)

Episode Overview

The ten remaining teams push forward in their South American adventure. This leg features hang-gliding, a challenge that Peggy approaches with reluctance due to her longstanding knee issues. Shola and Doyin seize the fast forward by playing volleyball with professionals, despite a mishap where one of their feet gets twisted. The twins face their own troubles when one of them has their foot run over during a chaotic moment. Blake and Paige struggle after losing their wallet, forcing them to plead for money at the bus station. As they travel to the next pit stop, one bus breaks down while another suffers a flat tire. Frustrated, Chris and Alex take matters into their own hands and fix the tire to get moving again. To everyone’s surprise, Peggy and Claire manage to stay in the race, finishing in 8th place. The final stretch becomes a tight race between Hope/Norm and Blake/Paige, leading to the elimination of the married couple from Tennessee.
