Episode Overview

During the summer of 1976, the NYPD pursues a man who is randomly firing a massive .44 caliber handgun at couples in parked cars. He instills fear in the city by sending chilling letters, mocking the authorities. Eventually, the police catch a break when they receive a tip about a suspect who has shot a neighbor's dog, bringing them closer to solving the case.
