S1E1 It Couldn't Happen Here
Episode Overview
Title: It Couldn't Happen Here Plot: Dynamic Labour leader Michael Murray rises to power with a wave of passionate speeches. His initial initiative aims to overhaul the education system, but it appears to be driven by a personal grudge against Mr. Weller, the headmaster who once placed him in a special school for troubled youth. When Murray meets with esteemed political theorist Mervyn Sloan, he learns that expectations for his leadership are high. Sloan pushes for a general strike in Murray's city to confront the Conservative Government. However, when an inebriated council member neglects to organize pickets at a certain school, chaos erupts between Murray and Jim Nelson, the headmaster of a special needs institution.
